Today is Earth Day- A day to connect to nature, our planet and all things to do with our environment. How can you celebrate? Here are some ideas!
💚 Check out https://www.earthday.org/ for ideas on sustainability and more about Earth Day
💚 Connect to nature- get outside! Go for a walk, sit in the garden and breathe
💚 Buy and plant some seeds- nurture them, watch them grow and blossom!
(If you don't naturally have 'green fingers' herbs are easy- try peppermint or spearmint in a pot- they barely need any maintenance and will keep growing)
💚 Save on petrol and join me for online classes! Sunday's Yoga Nidra class runs 8-8.45pm weekly and this week will be a guided relaxation based on nature and nurture to send you to sleep, re-energise and relax after your weekend. Book here for this class and to sign up for my FREE online taster class in May click here
💚 Start a compost for food waste. I do this and have gained lots of lovely homegrown soil to then use in the garden! Click here for further information
💚 Consider how much packaging a product has before you buy it- can you switch to something with less plastic?!
💚 Remind yourself of the importance of protecting the planet- see the
google homepage to look at images of Earth and the effects of climate change on our landscapes
💚 Practice your Tree (below) and Eagle (above) poses as we have done in yoga classes this week. Add in arm variations or simply place your hands at the centre of the chest and find your balance.
With love from the Earth and me!
